Maison WelkinBespoke Couture House

The art of the commission.

A bespoke couture house built as a two-column magazine spread on warm cream, with a gold seam hairline and a single correspondence verb carrying the whole page.

Maison Welkin creates bespoke garments from its Paris and London ateliers. The hero is a two-column editorial spread — Playfair Display headline against a gold seam hairline, qualifying meta stating price floor, timeline, and appointment-only access. The page descends from atmosphere to evidence: a three-step commission process, three asymmetric collection cards each carrying their own Reserve or waitlist cue, a philosophy triptych, a named lineage section crediting three craftspeople with their ateliers, a four-frame atelier sequence, a press dossier, an FAQ accordion, and a five-field commission form that resolves to "Received". VELVET's locked three-verb CTA system governs throughout — "Request an audience" is the page-level gesture, never a nav button.

The Challenge

Maison Welkin before the rebuild.

A bespoke couture house whose entire value is the commission — one garment, four to six months, irreplicable — but whose presence read like a lookbook. The site asked to be browsed when the house should be approached; the made-to-measure model was invisible, so the maison felt like a label, not an atelier.

The System

The maison reads as an atelier you commission, not a label you browse.
